A convincing win over Sloga after three defeats - Senta vs. Sloga (89/90)

After three unlucky defeats coach Major's young side kept its belief and, as expected, comfortably took both points against its one-time great rival, Sloga of Ostojićevo. On chances the win could have been bigger still. The match began with home attacks, and as early as the 2nd minute a well-struck Paku free kick reached Farago, who found the well-placed Kovacs to head in. Until the second goal the play was mostly in midfield, with the hosts on top, and that brought another goal in the 44th minute, Gajda beating the out-of-sorts goalkeeper from a Paku free kick.

The tempo did not change after the break and the hosts attacked with more menace. A fierce Paku shot cleared the bar by a whisker with goalkeeper Gondor a helpless spectator. The visitors then improved, and in the 75th minute Kertesz pulled one back from close range. Their better spell lasted only until then: three minutes later Verba was played through to make it 3:1, and two minutes after that the crowd applauded another headed goal from Kovacs.
