A convincing win over Srem, later turned into a 0:3 forfeit - Senta vs. Srem (72/73)

Senta took full revenge on Srem for the 4:1 defeat in the autumn. In fairness, nothing went right for the visitors, while the hosts fought for every ball with great drive. The defence in particular stood firm against the Mitrovica side's attacks, all the more so because Soti, the best player on the pitch, had recovered from injury and the experienced Čušić was back in the team. Goalkeeper Nagynemedi also put in an excellent performance, saving certain goals on three occasions.

Srem, however, lodged a protest, because Senta had fielded Božić, who was automatically suspended for one match after a second run of yellow cards. The federation's notice of the suspension did not reach the club's officials in time, so the player took the field. The match was awarded 3:0 to Srem.
