A draw in the Palić derby - Palić vs. Senta (98/99)

Two title contenders met at Palić, and the shared points proved a fair outcome - though neither side could be entirely happy with it, both being in the running for the championship.

The first half hour brought quick, hard football without much threat on either goal. The visitors took the lead when Bajusz headed in a cross in the 35th minute. The cold weather lifted the tempo further: Kotarac equalised in the 40th, and in the 43rd Andrusko punished an error in the home defence.

Palić turned the match round after the break, Vujić scoring in the 47th and Petrović in the 58th, the latter on the volley. The lapses in the home defence continued, though, and in the 65th minute Vastag's free kick from the right was headed in by one of the smallest players on the pitch, Andrusko.
