A draw in the Tisa derby in Kanjiža - Potisje vs. Senta (72/73)

The so-called eternal Tisa derby was played in cold, autumnal weather. Senta's supporters travelled in good numbers, hoping their team would continue its fine form and come home with two points. That forecast did not come true, because the Kanjiža side fought with spirit and used clever tactics, managing to put the brakes on Senta's potent forward line.

The visitors had a slight territorial edge, and the hosts could not put together a coherent attack. Even so they went ahead in the 17th minute, through an own goal, which surprised the visitors. Senta later equalised through Bajusz.
