Before some 500 Senta and 300 Ada supporters the two Tisa sides set out to prove that they belong at the top of the league. The visitors proved the better prepared: they played more forcefully and better, and their attacks were more dangerous. The home players did not move as they had in the warm-up matches, especially in the second half, when the visitors were clearly on top and had only luck to blame for not taking both points. On the other hand, Senta fielded four or five youngsters who had been only reserves in the autumn, and it is encouraging that they held their own - the scorer was one of them.
From the kick-off Senta went on the attack and would have led in the first minute had Kerleta directed his header better. In the 17th minute Roganović placed a Todorović cross superbly into the far corner. AFK then pushed hard for an equaliser, and in the 29th minute Halasz replied with a goal almost identical to Roganović's. Nothing much happened before the break, but in the second half, to the hosts' great surprise, the visitors took over: Vogrinec, Mrdjanov and Halasz missed three very good chances.
