A draw on the opening day - Senta vs. Slavija (70/71)

Senta played well, yet the crowd did not go home satisfied: the hosts attacked more but missed countless chances. The first quarter of an hour was midfield play, and in the 20th minute Sarkany wasted the biggest chance, from an ideal Bajusz pass. The visitors went ahead in the 30th minute, when Prodanov turned in a cross from the right from close range.

Before the break Sarkany equalised past the advancing goalkeeper. In the second half Slavija defended and Senta grew more and more hurried, with many needless high balls; Sarkany and Soti had chances. Jevtić, Božić and Bajusz stood out.
