Until the middle of the first half the visitors attacked more, and their quick, well-organised moves gave the Senta defence a thorough test. Krizsan and the other defenders did their job faultlessly until the 35th minute, but then they were finally beaten: a Džolić thunderbolt from about 16 metres flew past goalkeeper Gyolai into the net. After the goal Sever's fighting spirit dropped markedly, and the hosts took advantage within three minutes. After a superb Sablatura corner the visiting goalkeeper came out badly, and Vukmirović turned in from close range the ball that had got behind him.
The tempo picked up somewhat after the break. Both sides had several excellent chances, but the forwards missed them one after another. In the 62nd minute Gyolai saved his goal only with a selfless intervention, and ten minutes later a Štrbački drive from some twenty metres came back into play off the foot of the right-hand post. On what was seen, a draw is a fair result. Gyolai, Krizsan and Vukmirović stood out for Senta.
