The match was played on Saturday afternoon and, despite it being a working day, drew a fair crowd, who had to leave disappointed: wary of their great old rivals, the hosts played rather nervously and inaccurately. Senta took only one of their big first-half chances. In the 15th minute Csipak alertly kicked in a Bajusz thunderbolt the goalkeeper had dropped, and in the 44th a Laczko shot struck the post. In between, Vitković made a brilliant save from a volley from eleven metres.
After the break the visitors played harder and equalised in the 60th minute from a quick counter-attack, after a bad defensive mistake. In the remaining half hour it was mostly Senta who attacked, and they had chances, but their forwards could not score. Vitković, Bognar and Tobias stood out.
