Senta, fielding three reserves, could have won but for a fatal mistake in the 27th minute: the goalkeeper could safely have cleared a long ball upfield, but tried to dribble past the visiting forward, who proved the sharper and easily found the empty net. After the goal the hitherto rather languid game livened up, but the hosts could not equalise in the first half.
After the break there was a lot of rough play. In the 71st minute, after several stifling home attacks, Pinter sent a rebound off the post into the net past the excellent visiting goalkeeper. The tense game continued to the end, and in the last minute the referee sent off a player from each side. Soti stood out for Senta.
