A fair draw against the leaders - Senta vs. Kelebija

League leaders SFU Kelebijska šuma were the visitors at the Gradski stadion. We were the better side in the first half and created several chances, and in the 26th minute Vilovski gave us the lead with a fine finish. Unfortunately the visitors equalised right at the end of the half, Babić scoring in the 44th minute.

We also started the second half better, but could not create a truly dangerous chance. The visitors then took control and had a few opportunities of their own, yet they could not go in front. The draw is a fair result.

In the closing minutes the referee stopped play because of an unfortunate incident: a young man from Ada was taken ill in the stand. Fortunately the ambulance arrived quickly and took him to hospital; according to our latest information he is still being examined, and his parents have arrived from Ada. We wish him a speedy recovery!

Because of the incident the referee also blew the final whistle, saying the match was in its last minute anyway. We think he did the right thing - at moments like this a human life matters more than anything else.

After the match we held a belated birthday celebration for our president, whose birthday was a few days ago. Once again: happy birthday, Laci!
