A goal in the first minute and defeat to Bačka - Senta vs. Bačka (85/86)

The visitors went ahead in the very first minute: a powerful Toth shot struck the crossbar and bounced back into play, and Mrđanov ran on to it and scored without hesitation. The goal badly surprised the home defence. Šurla could have added to the lead soon afterwards but missed his chance. Senta then pulled themselves together to some extent and gradually took control. In the 10th minute Agoston could have equalised, but through clumsiness the ball ran out of play. In the 22nd minute Todorović was injured and replaced by Fustos. The forwards had some excellent chances too: Birkas hit the post, a shot the Bačka defender only just managed to deal with.

After the change of ends the visitors nearly scored again. In the 67th minute a quick counter-attack pinned the Senta defence back and Toth headed a high, bouncing ball unstoppably into the net. The hosts did all they could to pull one back in the time that remained, but this time they were unable to beat the visiting goalkeeper.
