A good display goes unrewarded in Palić - Palić vs. Senta (83/84)

After an excellent run the leaders expected an easy match, and their overconfidence nearly backfired, as Senta, mainly through Birkas and Farago, played quite well. Luckily for the hosts, Miranović put them ahead after a cross from R. Bojić. The game was then played mostly in midfield, with the hosts slightly on top; their attack had a rather poor day and gave Dukai less work than their own goalkeeper had.

Nothing changed after the break. Once the home goalkeeper Kmec came out badly, but Szabo headed the ball behind for a corner at the last moment. In the final stages the visitors created several chances, yet it was Palić who scored the second, this time through Matković. Birkas and Farago deserve praise for Senta.
