The play was rather hurried early on. The opening goal came in the 14th minute, when the goalkeeper dropped a hard Bakaić shot and the alert Kispal rolled it in from close range. Neither side had a clear chance before the break.

Early in the second half Senta took wing and mounted one furious attack after another. In the 57th minute Gvozdenović II. made it 2:0 from a free kick of some twenty metres, and in the 65th he scored from a solo effort. Ten minutes later a Pinter II. thunderbolt from the edge of the box found the top right corner, and in the next minute Gvozdenović II. converted a penalty. The visitors missed a penalty late on. Toth, Gvozdenović I. and Gvozdenović II. stood out.
