A heavy defeat in Subotica - Bačka 1901 vs. Senta (22/23)

The visitors made the better start to this meeting of two clubs with a long history: in the very first minute the post saved the hosts. Then the home striker Vojnić took centre stage, beating the Senta goalkeeper three times in seven minutes. Midway through the half Celin restored hope when he put in a rebound off the goalkeeper from close range.

Late in the first half the Subotica side scored twice more within two minutes, and then Živković toe-poked the ball into the bottom left corner, leaving the visitors some hope for the second half. After the break, however, there was only one team on the pitch: the hosts scored six more against a visiting defence that had fallen apart, and Senta suffered one of the heaviest defeats of their modern history. Late on the scoreboard gave up too: it had room for only nine of the hosts' goals.
