A Kitli goal and two strikes against the post - Senta vs. Vinogradar (87/88)

The players of both teams fought to the end and gave everything they had. In the first half the hosts were nevertheless on top and attacked more, but took none of their four chances: Đurović, Kitli, Mazak and then Farago all found themselves in positions from which a calmer finish would have put their side ahead. At the other end Sebok had an opening and shot wide from ten metres.

The hosts played with even more purpose after the break and the goal soon came. In the 48th minute a well-started attack left the visiting defence stranded, and the well-placed Kitli finished it off. After the goal the visitors switched to attack and the game became livelier. In the 57th minute they could have equalised: Kranjec punched away a shot from Elek, the rebound fell to Borucki, but his effort came off the post and went behind. A minute later, on the counter, Kitli could have doubled the lead, only for the post to rescue the visitors this time. Vinogradar pressed for the rest of the match, while the hosts defended cleverly and created further chances from dangerous counter-attacks.
