A Kopas hat-trick in front of 2,000 - Senta vs. Topola (56/57)

The meeting of the old rivals was awaited with enormous interest in Senta, and supporters came from Topola too, only to be quickly disillusioned with their team: by the 10th minute Senta already led 2:0 through Kopas goals. Topola then pulled one back before Kopas scored again. The hosts played much the more technical football and, with a little luck, could have won by more.

In the second half the hosts eased off and Topola attacked for about 25 minutes, but the defence, led by goalkeeper Kablar, stood firm. Kopas, Borbelj, Buza and Kablar stood out.
