A late own goal decides it in Subotica - Bratstvo vs. Senta (76/77)

Bratstvo managed, if not by a convincing margin, to avenge their 2:0 defeat by Senta in the autumn. For the first three quarters of an hour the hosts were distinctly the better side: they attacked often, but their forwards shot wide just as often. Early on a shot whistled past the post, and a home forward then twice found himself alone in front of Gyolai, who kept goal superbly. After almost half an hour the Senta goal fell all the same: Gabrić's free kick rebounded to him off the wall, and at the second attempt he made no mistake, finding the left corner with a low shot. Before the break the visitors tried several attacks too, but the home defence cleared in time.

Straight after the turnaround Soti found Vukmirović, who headed into the empty goal. Senta then pressed for a good quarter of an hour, before the hosts got back on top: one shot flew wide, another struck the post, and Gyolai caught a Gabrić thunderbolt in masterly fashion. In the 84th minute, after a cross from the right, Csikos tried to put the ball behind for a corner but sent it into the top corner of his own goal. Gyolai, Božić and Todorović stood out for Senta.
