The match began with home attacks, and the hosts could easily have gone ahead in the first minutes, but Nikolić and then Kitli missed big chances. The hosts kept their territorial advantage but did not break dangerously through the visitors' tight defence until the 15th minute: Farago got through, only for Major to clear for a corner. The game was then played mostly in midfield, and when the hosts took the initiative again their attacks and pressure came to nothing. The visitors defended in an organised way and showed they had come to Senta for a point.
In the second half too the hosts attacked more and with more menace, while the visitors tried the occasional counter. Their defensive tactics eventually backfired. In the 63rd minute the visitors could only turn a dangerous home attack behind for a corner. From the corner Szogi tried to volley the ball clear, but it slid off his foot and ended up in his own net. Only then did the match become exciting: the visitors threw everything forward for an equaliser, but the Senta defence held firm. With fruitless pressure, several missed chances and a lucky own goal the home side took both points from a very spirited opponent, but the win was deserved.
