A Mihaly Soti penalty settles a rough match - Senta vs. Elektrovojvodina (76/77)

The crowd of four hundred saw a slow-paced match marred by rough play, in which the visitors led the way. The referee mostly turned a blind eye to it. The sides were evenly matched in the first half, and in the second the hosts got on top: they put together many inventive moves but faltered in front of goal at the last moment.

In the 59th minute, about 11 metres from goal, a defender chopped down Sablatura just as he was about to shoot. The referee rightly gave a penalty, which Mihaly Soti converted. After the goal the game grew rougher still: Sablatura and Kojić were booked, and in the 75th minute Kisjovak was sent off for striking a visiting player in the face, the referee having missed that the same player had punched Kisjovak just before. Gyolai, Spremo and Mihaly Soti stood out for Senta.
