After a 2:0 half-time lead nobody thought the hosts would end up winning by the narrowest of margins. The side from Lovćenac gave the impression of a very technical and combative team and made no secret of having come for both points. In the first half the hosts were the more incisive and often threatened Vučković's goal with organised attacks. In the 15th minute the Njegoš defence could only stop a dangerous attack illegally inside the box, and I. Zmukić converted the penalty with confidence. After ten minutes of furious attacking, in the 25th minute, Todorović created a chance that Kitli put away with an unstoppable shot from 16 metres.
After the break the visitors regrouped, and in the 55th minute they were awarded a penalty for handball, but Markov saved Pavličić's mid-height kick. The hosts then dropped off, Njegoš mounted ever more dangerous attacks and Simović pulled one back in the 68th minute. Senta replied with an I. Zmukić header for 3:1, but Roganović set the final score in the 87th minute. Kitli then found the net once more, only for the goal to be disallowed.
