A narrow win through a Kitli goal - Senta vs. Elektrovojvodina (81/82)

Week by week the side from the banks of the Tisa is playing less well, and once again it only reached a 1:0 win over Elektrovojvodina, eleventh in the table, with great difficulty. The defence more or less did its job, the midfielders were below their usual form, and the forwards are best not mentioned. There was no real idea in the hosts' play, and even the only goal came from a bad goalkeeping error. The visitors, for their part, came hoping to avenge their autumn defeat or at least take a point, which with a little luck and better finishing they might have done.

The only goal came in the 11th minute: goalkeeper Kmec was slow to react to a Barna cross, and Kitli had no trouble putting the ball in from a tight angle. A slight home edge followed, with a few chances that went unused. The visitors attacked more after the break, but their forwards were out of form too. In the 61st minute Kitli had another opportunity, then the visitors could have equalised on the counter, and a minute later a Todorović thunderbolt struck the crossbar.
