The small crowd saw an uneventful match typical of the start of a season. Neither Senta nor Tavankut produced anything special beyond the odd neat exchange and a few long balls. In the 34th minute Nikolić scored the goal that decided the match, but there was no great excitement after that either, and so the teams went in.
In the second half the crowd grew ever more impatient and vented its anger on referee Petrović and his assistants. The few chances came to nothing: the players did not take care with their passing and the shots were weak. Only young Pinter deserves praise, for his committed display. There was no serious rough play, as shown by the fact that the referee had to show only one yellow card, to Farago.
