A point from a rough match with Slavija - Senta vs. Slavija (77/78)

The first fifteen minutes were mostly midfield play, after which Senta's attacks grew more and more dangerous. In the 17th minute, from a goalmouth scramble, Štrbački headed his side in front. Two minutes later the visitors could have equalised, but their forward put the ball wide from point-blank range. In the 30th minute a Vukmirović volley missed the goal by centimetres.

The rest of the match was marked by hard and at times rough challenges, with the visitors the main culprits. For a bad foul on Sablatura the referee showed only a yellow card. In the second half Slavija attacked more and, with a little luck, could have taken both points: twice Csikos saved his goal with good anticipation and self-sacrifice. The home midfielders moved slowly and most of their passes went to the opposition, so the defence was under heavy pressure. In the 70th minute Popović cleverly took advantage of confusion in front of goal and equalised. A draw is a fair result.
