A point from Kanjiža after penalties - Krajišnik vs. Senta (89/90)

Krajišnik started well against Senta, attacking with drive and fluency, and could have led through Torteli as early as the 13th minute, but the home centre-forward was late to the ball. The visitors first got near Nyers's goal in the 28th minute and then, after a corner, went unexpectedly ahead through a Kovacs header. That, and the visitors' constant time-wasting after the goal, unsettled the hosts, whose attacks grew weaker. Ten minutes later they nevertheless equalised: Torteli broke into the Senta box, Pocs tackled him perfectly fairly, but to general astonishment the referee rewarded the home player's spectacular fall with a penalty. Šekerović put it away with confidence.

From then on, mainly because of the referee's frequent mistakes, the game was nervous and hurried; there was plenty of fight but no more attractive football. With no further goals, penalties decided the destination of the point: Novak saved from Čulum and two home players shot wide, while Pinter, Pocs and Kovacs scored for Senta.
