It began like a real league battle: there were three glaring chances in the first five minutes alone, one of them in front of the home goal, when Božić shot. On a heavy pitch the play was dynamic to the end. Senta played more attractively in midfield and passed more accurately, but Kombinat had more chances; in the 60th minute Bognar cleared off the line.

The home defence had a lot of trouble with Božić and Bajusz, but the visitors mostly tried long-range shots. In the last ten minutes the game turned rough, and the referee sent off a player from each side.
