A poor display before more than a thousand spectators - Čantavir vs. Senta (85/86)

The large crowd saw a weak and feeble visiting side, although everyone had expected Čantavir to face a tough opponent in excellent form. Senta were a class below their hosts. There was little to see in an uneventful first half. In the 11th minute Zajović shook off his markers and beat Markov, who was badly out of form. Zajović had several more chances and missed the best of them in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute Suturović failed to beat the Senta goalkeeper.

In the 46th minute Kuburić scored with a volley. Čantavir kept attacking after that, but the substitute goalkeeper Dukai proved a much tougher obstacle and was not so easily beaten. In the 67th minute O. Djever and then Suturović missed chances, as did Sinkovics in the 73rd, 76th and 86th. Senta could muster only two weak attacks.
