A record crowd and a Pinter goal against Čantavir - Senta vs. Čantavir (89/90)

In front of a record crowd of 450 Senta and Čantavir played a match that could well be called a derby. The young side from the banks of the Tisa fought with spirit but fairly throughout and kept its promise to repeat the autumn success against Čantavir, this time against a capable team of more experienced players.

The hosts played throughout with two forwards and a reinforced midfield and defence, while the visitors tried to make good their intention of winning with open, attacking football. Senta badly missed their leading scorer Kovacs, who was suspended. Pinter scored the only goal five minutes before the break.
