The two sides played a proper league match in the Tisa derby and, contrary to tradition, a sporting one. The hosts controlled midfield from the first minute and built inventive attacks, but their finishing let them down. The first real chance fell to Senta, as early as the 8th minute, when Kalman hit the post with a fierce shot. The Kanjiža side gradually came into it and went ahead in the 34th minute: Szakala received an excellent ball and lobbed the advancing Markov.
In the second half the hosts kept up their good play but wasted several more excellent chances. Senta equalised in the 65th minute at the end of an attack down the left: the home defenders made a mistake and the alert Sablatura headed into the top right corner from four or five metres. After the goal the game settled into midfield play, with neither side able to create a real chance. In the last quarter of an hour the hosts pressed again, but apart from a shot against the post from some twenty metres nothing of note happened. A draw is a fair result.
