The Tisa derby attracted great interest, and in the sunshine many Senta supporters made the trip to Ada. The first half was a contest between equals, with the only excitement coming from a Đurović shot that cleared the crossbar by inches. In the 32nd minute Suranyi replaced the ineffective Tomić, but he showed little either. Senta also changed two players in attack, as coach Zmukić was unhappy with Agoston and Nikolić. Curiously, it was not the visitors who improved after that; the hosts increasingly took the initiative and gained the upper hand.
In the 53rd minute there were frantic scenes in front of Markov's goal, but the Senta defence eventually cleared. AFK's winner came in the 65th minute at the end of a textbook move: on the counter Budai released Turi down the right, the inside-forward crossed and Bokodi, arriving in the centre-forward position, put the ball in. Of the hosts' three attempts, alongside those of Šogolj and Laszlo, Budai came closest, his shot towards the bottom left corner being turned behind by Markov at full stretch. AFK had to work hard for their win in a derby of rather low quality, while Senta's problem lay mostly in finishing their moves.
