For an hour it looked as if the champions-elect would suffer their first defeat. With first place already settled, Sever did not exert themselves unduly, so the match was more like a training game than a league fixture. The hosts were on top and created plenty of chances, but Senta went 2:0 up from two counter-attacks. They first beat the home goalkeeper around the middle of the half, when Kalman drove in a Todorović cross from close range, and not long afterwards the same thing happened again, except that this time the goalkeeper got a touch on the ball.
At the start of the second half the hosts stepped up and pressed their opponents hard for a quarter of an hour. They equalised from two textbook moves: first Kalinić scored, then Jovanović headed in a cross from the wing. In the 76th minute Sever took the other point as well, when Jurković lobbed the goalkeeper and the ball ended up in the net. Kalman stood out for Senta.
