The derby between the two Tisa sides was the best-attended match for some time. The crowd saw a real, hard-fought league game, though the football could not be called high quality. The visitors were on top in the first half, the hosts in the second. The first quarter of an hour was cagey, with Senta trying their luck on the counter. In the 15th minute Sablatura was fouled inside the area and Szkajevszki placed the penalty in the bottom left corner. The unexpected lead unsettled the hosts, and Krizsan took advantage in the 29th minute to make it 0:2 with a goal from 30 metres. The Kanjiža side pulled one back in the last minute of the half, when Pavličić dribbled through the defence and scored from a tight angle.
After the break the home side was almost unrecognisable. They kept the Senta goal under constant siege, which the visitors could not take in a sporting manner: the referee showed the yellow card several times and finally sent off Szorcsik. The extra man brought its reward: Sarkany moved forward and equalised, in the 76th minute Grubin pulled away from his marker to give the hosts the lead, and the best goal of the match came in the 82nd, when Kis finished off a Sarkany - Grubin - Kis move. Popović pulled one back in the penultimate minute. Soti and Sablatura stood out for Senta.
