A win before 3,500 in the first leg of the play-off - Senta vs. Jedinstvo (78/79)

The match began nervously and hurriedly. In the first half hour there were only a few chances at either end. The visitors from Novi Bečej became more and more organised, their combinations more accurate, and several shots went towards the home goal. In the 29th minute Ristovski got away with a ball from his own half and scored past the helpless Markov. In the 36th minute, after a fine home move, Kalman released Todorović, who crossed well, and Sablatura pushed the ball in. In the 42nd minute the hosts won a free kick: Todorović put the ball on the head of Kalman, who, with his back to goal, glanced it in for 2:1.

After the restart the visitors tried to stop the home attacks with hard play and did not shrink from time-wasting either. It was mostly midfield play and the goals were not in much danger. In the 76th minute the visitors took a free kick: the ball was heading for goal, changed direction off Pjevac and went in, a bad defensive error. The hosts kept attacking and wanted to turn the result their way. They managed it in the 81st minute, when the visitors stopped a counter-attack with a foul: Štrbački took the free kick from some 25 metres and the ball flew past the wall into the inside corner of the goal. The home win was deserved, but the lead is small. Soti, Sablatura and Todorović stood out for Senta.
