The visitors scored as early as the 5th minute, when Đuza shot unstoppably into the net. In the 11th minute the hosts could have equalised, but Tomašev saved at the last moment, and four minutes later the home goalkeeper saved with his foot. Horgoš were an equal match in the first half but could not score.

The hosts began the second half better: as early as the 48th minute the referee awarded a penalty, which Huszar confidently converted. Senta then attacked with all their strength for the win. The turning point came in the 65th minute, when Veselinov received his second yellow card. The visitors used the extra man, and in the 77th minute Dražić scored from close range. On the run of play a draw would have been fairer.
