A win in Inđija secures survival - Železničar vs. Senta (53/54)

This was a match of vital importance for Senta, since its outcome would decide which team would be the third to go down. In the first half Senta played less well than their opponents, but after the break they broke the home defence with spirited play, turned the score round and deservedly won. The referee handled the match very well.

After eight successive defeats at the start of the championship nobody would have believed that Senta could avoid relegation, but they played excellently in the spring and finished the championship in ninth place.
