A win in Zrenjanin to finish the championship - Proleter vs. Senta (52/53)

Proleter had already secured third place, so in the match played on Wednesday they fielded a heavily weakened side, resting players for Sunday's qualifying game. Even so they were equal opponents in midfield, and Senta owed the win to slightly greater fighting spirit and a more effective attack. The first goal came in the 7th minute: Čolović II took a free kick twenty metres from goal, the ball reached Čolović I, and he scored with a low shot.

In the 23rd minute the referee gave the hosts a penalty for a foul by Buza, but Galler saved it. In the last minute of the first half Galler kept out a shot from Arsenov right on the goal line. In the 15th minute of the second half Senta scored their second: Čolović I met a headed cross from Kalman and put the ball past the advancing goalkeeper. Senta deserved their win.
