A win over Preporod without sparkle - Senta vs. Preporod (78/79)

In a match of low quality and slack tempo the hosts won, but not convincingly. Both teams produced poor football. While there was some system to be seen in the visitors' build-up, and they were better on the ball, quicker and more determined, the hosts played without method, hurriedly and without proper thought. What decided the match was that the hosts were the more dangerous in front of goal. The first goal came in the 22nd minute: Todorović got away and was fouled some 25 metres out, in the middle of the pitch. Štrbački struck the ball hard, the goalkeeper tried to hold it but let it slip into the net.

Early in the second half Bito replaced the ineffective Sablatura. Senta attacked more in that period, but the visitors also threatened a few times: in the 15th minute of the half Markov only just got his fingertips to the ball. In the 21st minute Štrbački was brought down in the box and Soti converted the penalty.
