A win to open the spring - Senta vs. Mladost (67/68)

Even with a weakened side Senta took charge at once and gained considerable superiority, and the visiting defence struggled to find an answer to their attacks down both wings. In the 13th minute Kispal dived to meet a Mašulović cross and headed his side in front. Two minutes later a Mašulović header came back off the post. The pressure grew steadily, but the forwards missed chance after chance.

In the 52nd minute Abraham was brought down inside the box and the referee pointed to the spot. The visitors protested fiercely and play was held up for three or four minutes, after which Kispal confidently converted the penalty. The game then became too rough, but the score did not change. Senta fully deserved their win. Kispal and Mašulović stood out.
