A win to open the spring - Senta vs. Tekstilac (69/70)

Senta's spring debut was awaited with great excitement: the team had played disappointingly in the autumn but had shown good form in the warm-up matches. The supporters were mainly interested in the new players; Čušić was the best on the pitch, while Horvath and Tevdenić had not yet settled in.

The match began with attacks by the visitors, who shot wide from four metres as early as the 3rd minute. After six minutes Senta took over and kept the visitors' goal under constant siege, but the heavy pitch upset their plans. In the 24th minute Mašulović aimed for the top left corner from some 25 metres, and the ball, deflected off a defender's head, ended up in the net. Later the visitors took the initiative, but the home defence held firm; after the break the contest was even.
