A Zmukić header brings a fifth win - Hajduk vs. Senta (80/81)

The match began nervously. Both teams mounted several dangerous attacks, but no fine football developed, with most of the passing confined to midfield. In the 25th minute Todorović got away on the left and his sharp, low shot was superbly saved. In the 30th minute Markov stopped a low Stanojević effort, and there was nothing else worth mentioning in the first half.

Senta began the second half better. In the 58th minute, after a free kick from the left, Ivan Zmukić headed in unstoppably to earn his side both points. After the goal Hajduk threw everything forward, and it was only thanks to the Senta defence, led by Markov, that every attack was repelled. In the 80th minute, after a goalmouth scramble, the hosts put the ball in the net, but the referee ruled it out for handball. Markov was the best player of the match.
