Abandoned in the 76th minute - Senta vs. Slavija (99/00)

One of Senta's finest performances of the season ended with an assault on an official. The hosts led as early as the 7th minute, Matok finishing off a classic counter. Slavija equalised in the 61st from a corner, Dudás heading in, but ten minutes later Senta were ahead again: the move began in their own half with a series of one-twos, and Gvozdenović had no trouble rolling the ball in from five or six metres. The hosts also struck the woodwork twice and worked several more big chances.

The match was abandoned in the 76th minute. The assistant referee, Lajos Havar, flagged for passive offside during one of Slavija's rare attacks; the visitors disagreed so strongly that they first harassed and then attacked the official from Mol, whereupon the referee, Mišković of Ostojićevo, called the game off. Senta are expected to be awarded the points with a 3:0 result. Despite the ending, the crowd applauded what they had seen.
