AFK emphatic in the Tisa derby - Senta vs. AFK (83/84)

The eternal Tisa derby ended in a fully deserved win for the better side. The Ada club managed to avenge their spring defeat to their great rivals, and in front of the rivals' own supporters. AFK controlled the match almost throughout, played easy, attractive football and, besides the six goals, also hit the woodwork. The hosts created only three chances and took none of them; the best came in the 5th minute, when Roganović was a fraction late.

The visitors gradually took control and from the 16th minute won a series of corners. After half an hour of pressure the goals began to flow, started by the superbly positioned Imre Nagy: within seven minutes he twice beat the Senta goalkeeper, who was having a poor day, and Soti added another before the break. After the interval the hosts tried to pull one back, but had the strength for it only at the start. Imre Nagy scored twice more in the 55th and 58th minutes, and the final score was set in the 79th, when Đurović, under pressure from the forwards, turned the ball into his own net. Senta took the defeat sportingly.
