AFK win the Tisa derby before 800 spectators - Senta vs. AFK (82/83)

The meeting of the two rivals was only a shadow of the usual Tisa derbies. The crowd of some 800, half of them from Ada, watched countless fruitless efforts, passing errors and inaccurate shots. The visitors were on top for the first twenty minutes, but only in midfield. In the 42nd minute a poor back-pass from Nyilas could have given the visitors the lead, but Pozsgai's shot missed the target.

The second half began with the hosts slightly on top, but their forwards were toothless: in the 50th minute Agoston got away and struck a hard, low shot inches wide. In the 57th minute Surla, from the right and some thirty metres out, sent in a thunderbolt that surprised Markov and flew into the top left corner. It came as a cold shower. For the remaining half hour the hosts tried everything, but the visiting defence was impenetrable, and at the death young Bokodi added a second after a neat move. Referee Kostić deserved every praise.
