An 88th-minute goal beats the leaders - Senta vs. Sever (74/75)

On paper the Subotica side were favourites, but that hardly showed on the pitch. Senta fought with more spirit, and only the lack of a goalscoring forward prevented a bigger win. Sever's attacks regularly broke down on an extremely reliable home defence led by Mihaly Soti, as is shown by the fact that the visitors' only goal was scored by the home goalkeeper.

In the 52nd minute, after a Todorović cross, N. Zmukić put Senta ahead with a diving header. Two minutes later the Subotica side took a corner and Fajka pushed the cross into his own net. Everyone already believed the match would end level when, in the 88th minute, a scramble developed in front of the Sever goal: the alert Gyorgy Soti pounced on the ball and sent it low into the net.
