The Tisa derby, which was also the derby of the league, produced a real hard-fought league match. Both sides, proclaimed title contenders, had finished the first round without a point and wanted to put that right. The visitors' goal came as early as the 3rd minute: Tobias lost the ball, Štrbački crossed and Todorović headed over the advancing goalkeeper into the net. Conceding did not break the hosts, but until the 37th minute they could find no way through a Senta defence marshalled by Krizsan and Soti. Then Pribić ran down the right and Nagy headed his cross in. Furious home attacks followed: in the 38th minute Markov saved a close-range Pribić shot, and in the 39th a Nadlački thunderbolt missed by a hair's breadth.
The second half was a contest of equals. The match seemed to be heading for a draw, but in the 89th minute Meszaros scored from a goalmouth scramble to earn his side both points. The referee allowed robust play, and several players were booked. Soti, Krizsan and Todorović stood out for Senta.
