An unexpected defeat to HIP - Senta vs. HIP (68/69)

The home defence was slow and unsure, which the visitors' quick wingers cleverly exploited. The visitors ran a great deal and passed neatly, and their defence always cleared in time. They went ahead as early as the 2nd minute; Senta equalised eight minutes later, when Borbely headed in from a corner. HIP kept attacking furiously, went ahead again in the 40th minute after a weak back-pass, and scored a third before the break.

After the interval Senta regrouped somewhat. Borbely and Gvozdenović I. each had two scoring chances but shot wide, until Gvozdenović I. pulled one back from a goalmouth scramble in the 64th minute. The game then degenerated, and in the 88th minute the referee sent off a home player. On what was seen, the result was fair.
