A strong wind ruled out good football, but the hosts controlled the game from start to finish and deserved their win. In the 14th minute Popov curled an 18-metre free kick over the wall into the net, while Nikolin in the 21st and Milivojev in the 28th minute missed huge chances.

Kakaš headed in to extend the lead in the 77th minute, and Jović scored from close range on the counter in the 81st. The win took Senta back to first place.
