In cool, windy and occasionally sunny weather the two Tisa sides met. The stakes were high: the home supporters, players and officials dearly wanted to keep at least a point. Senta, however, were in true league form and allowed no surprise. The home side fought with great commitment at times, but it was not enough to get a better result against a Senta team better prepared technically, tactically and physically. Every visiting attack started from a ball played forward and always meant danger for Gyolai's goal. The first half nevertheless ended goalless.
Senta played with even more hunger in the second half but wasted a few chances. In the 70th minute Barna got on to an awkward Todorović header around the penalty spot and beat the excellent home goalkeeper. The match was virtually one-sided, with only Senta attacking in an organised way. Home coach Živko Naumov said the visitors had outrun his team and that it had them to thank that the defeat was only by the narrowest margin.
