Chance after chance missed against Preporod - Senta vs. Preporod (80/81)

Senta could have been three up inside the first quarter of an hour had the forwards used their chances with more thought. Even from point-blank range they could not find the net, although the visiting goalkeeper was far from secure. Shots and headers from Kerleta, Rozsa and Todorović all went wide. The clearest chance went begging in the 32nd minute, when a ball crossed from the left danced along the goal line and out of play. Five minutes later a Roganović header flew inches over the bar. With more organised play and cleverer solutions Senta had every chance, since the visitors from Novi Žednik did nothing but defend and constantly played for offside.

The second half too was spent with Senta completely on top, but what use was that when the goal would not come: every shot from the forwards missed the target. Preporod withdrew entirely into defence and firmly resisted the furious but unplanned attacks of Todorović and his team-mates. Markov had almost nothing to do after the break. On chances Senta could have won by at least four or five goals. Preporod can be happy with the point, which, to judge by their play, was their aim. Referee Mirčetić did his job faultlessly.
