Coach Major: the rejuvenation has worked (1981/1982)

On Sunday, after the match against Horgoš, FK Senta's supporters at last left the stadium satisfied. The rejuvenated side really did play well, and the lads ran for the full ninety minutes.

Coach Gyorgy Major is pleased. By all the signs the rejuvenation has worked: a group has come together that does not spare itself in training, and something almost unheard of at amateur level has happened, with several players turning up to practise both in the morning and in the afternoon. The newcomers have proved themselves, and he is especially happy with Birkas, who has just returned from military service. The two young forwards, Agoston II and Kitli, are also starting to show their claws.

The club is sticking to its original plan and will go on bringing in young players. Major is confident that in the 1982/83 season Senta will have a team able to fight for first place and, if it wins it, to clear the hurdle of the qualifying play-offs as well.
