Senta played a match of decisive psychological importance. Krizsan, back from Spartak Subotica, and Csizmadia, who had come to Senta from Bačka Topola, both took the field. The crowd and the coaching staff awaited their appearance with optimism, and both worked very hard throughout.

In the 29th minute a Senta forward was brought down inside the box, but Krizsan put the penalty wide. A minute before the break a Senta player handled inside the area, and Hun drove the penalty into the top right corner. In the 10th minute of the second half Csizmadia ran on to a ball crossed from the flank and equalised. Both sides had chances after that, but the score did not change.
